HOGS vs. DOGS

Hogs vs. Dogs softball tournament is a joint effort from Ennis Local 3320 and Waxahachie Local 3310.  Between the both locals we split the time and monies. The tournament is design to have a Fire Dept. (Dogs) bracket and a Police Dept. (Hogs) bracket. The winner from each bracket will be in the championship which we get the name of Hogs vs. Dogs.  This tournament is a family event...we have two bounce houses, a play ground, antique/new fire and police vehicles, our city EVAC Helicopter on display, and we even had a DJ playing music between innings.  The tournament is held at the Waxahachie Sports Complex in the month of Sept.

On Oct. 4, 2008 we had the 2nd Annual Hogs vs. Dogs...The tournament started out to be a good one.  We had 12 teams signed on to play, but, Hurricane IKE changed all that when he blew in on saturday Sept. 13th...so we had to re-schuduled for Oct. 4th.  So the tournament ended up with 4 teams; Waxahachie PD, Hillsboro PD, Waxahachie FD, and Ennis FD.  So we all just played for fun with Waxahachie PD winning the tournament.
